Many say that the human being is lazy. Maybe. But there’s no stopping to a human, who decided to challenge him- or herself. The living proof is a famous world contest Volvo Ocean Race – the world’s most famous yacht race.

And we a proud to be a part of it for the Dutch team AkzoNobel, as our Cardiolyse Fatigue Assistant helps to analyse heart health and fatigue of the crew, together with Cosinuss biometric sensors and SAP software.

The team performance is of the utmost importance in this challenging race as all the yachts are the same. The only difference is the crew.

In this exhausting 24/7 competition with usually only 4 hours of sleep a day the tracking of health state and fatigue becomes vital.

Volvo Ocean Race becomes even tougher this year with the longest course in its history. Almost a year-long contest between seven teams from all over the world, who need to sail 45 000 nautical miles (83340 km) through 6 continents to get the trophy and the glory.

Now when the AkzoNobel team prepares in Melbourne, Australia, for the next part of the journey, we wish them good luck – and certainly will be following them not only on Volvo Ocean Race tracker but also through Cardiolyse Fatigue Assistant solution.

Good luck for the teams and may the wind at their sails!
